After School Activities

After School Activities

As part of our holistic approach to education we recommend that all students get involved in at least one of the wide range of after school activities St Joseph of Cluny has to offer. Being involved in activities outside of the classroom has many potential benefits including: improved mental and physical wellbeing, better school grades, new friendships, learning new skills, understanding cooperation and increased confidence.

The extracurricular sports timetable is available here to view.

Choir, Orchestra and Drama Club

After over a year of no singing in school, we are very happy to re-establish the choir at Cluny. The choir will take place at lunchtime on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting next Tuesday 7th September. To be a member of the choir both sessions must be attended on a weekly basis. It will be directed by Ms. Hannah Masterson who is the new Music teacher at Cluny. The choir will run outdoors for the time being and will hopefully move indoors very soon once the guidelines allow us to do so. Please meet outside the Concert Hall at 1pm with lunch. After the October mid-term break, choir will be after school on a Tuesday from 4-5pm (when hockey for First years is no longer compulsory) as well as lunchtime on Tuesday.

Please wear a jacket on the colder days and note that weather permitting choir may be cancelled. Anyone is welcome to join the choir from any year group. Experience is not required, just a willingness to sing and learn! We will sing a range of different genres but lots of Musical Theatre and contemporary songs.

The orchestra will take place on Fridays after school and will resume on Friday 17th of September, from 3-4:30pm.

If you are interested in joining the orchestra please email expressing your interest along with your name, class, instrument and level of playing. The orchestra will be run by Connor Wilcox and Angela Qiao.

Drama Club

The drama club takes place on Wednesdays in the library after school. All are welcome! For more information, please see the club flyer here.
