In November, we Remember

The Cluny Chaplaincy Team, as part of 'In November we Remember', have created a space for students to reflect and think about loved ones who have passed away. The Remembrance Tree will be decorated with leaves featuring the names of people students wish to remember this month. An empty chair has also been left beside the tree, as a tribute to those who cannot be with us during the celebrations of Christmas in the coming months. Each Religion class will have the opportunity to decorate a leaf and say a prayer for their loved ones.

''At the rising of the sun and at its going down, at the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, at the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of Spring, at the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer, at the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of Autumn, at the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them. As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us as we remember them. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen''
