Welcome back to our latest edition of Good News Friday. We hope you have all had a lovely week.
Our Class of 2023 Debs reception took place yesterday, Thursday in Fitzpatrick's hotel. We hope they all had a fantastic night.
On Monday, TY Textiles students visited Sealife in Bray to carry out some research for design of the Blue Lagoon group quilt which we are in the process of planning.
Seventeen Cluny students embarked on a trip to Murcia, Spain this week to further improve their Spanish! They took a break from their studies to visit El museo de Santa Clara la Real which is comprised of archaeological and architectural remains of old royal palaces.
We were delighted to open our new polytunnel earlier this week. Congratulations to our Green Schools group who helped fundraise for the tunnel. Our eldest and youngest pupils were first in to plant our very first plants! We are excited to see what is planted next. Thank you to all involved!
Library inductions are well underway now at Cluny library. Lots of great books being borrowed by students and bookish conversations happening! We have a fantastic new selection of books now available to borrow. These new books can be found to the right-hand side of the library entrance.
First years enjoyed a trip to Kilkenny earlier this week where they took part in a hockey blitz. We hope they all enjoyed this day out.
We are looking forward to welcoming parents and guardians of sixth class girls entering the secondary system in September 2024 to Cluny next week for our open night. Our open night will take place between 17:00 and 20:00 on Thursday 21st of September. Don’t miss our Principal’s Address which is due to start at 17:15.
That is all for this week! We hope you all have a lovely weekend. And remember, in Cluny, we grow and succeed together!
