Friday 09 December 2022

Well done to all our students who completed their Christmas tests this week. We are proud of you all. Yesterday, we celebrated the feast day of the Immaculate Conception.

Our Ember Team started their collection for the VDP hamper collection on Wednesday. All donations should be brought to the oratory. This collection is taking place until the next Friday, the 16 of December. The Ember Team created a helpful list on what can be included in hampers which is available at the following link: https://buff.ly/3P7kOUs

Sports fixtures for December and January are now available to view on our website. Visit the following news article for more information. Please note, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council have issued a closure notice for all pitches from Monday 12 December until 15 January 2023. Therefore, soccer matches scheduled for Monday 12 December and Tuesday 13 December are postponed until the new year.

We are delighted to share that our Carol Service will return next week here at Cluny. This is the first time the Carol Service has been live and in person in three years. This event will take place on Thursday, 15 of December from 19:30 until 21:00 and include 60 students. Tickets are selling fast! For more information on this event and to purchase tickets, please visit out Eventbrite page.

Our sixth-year students are selling Christmas cards to fundraise for Saint Joseph’s Shankill, this year's chosen charity. A packet of 5 cards costs €10 and all proceeds will go towards this worthy cause.

The TY library committee were busy decorating the library for Christmas this week. Well done for all of your hard work!

On Monday, we launched a survey for our past pupils. This short survey investigates how our past pupils prefer to stay in contact with classmates and up to date on Cluny news. This survey is specifically examining your thoughts on our Facebook and past pupils' website.

That is it for this week! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend. And remember, in Cluny, we succeed and grow together.
