We hope you are excited for today’s edition of Good News Friday.
Christmas tests began this week in Cluny. We would like to wish all of our students who started their tests this week the best of luck.
Advent is a reminder that our life on earth is a preparation for the life of eternity in heaven; and that we wait for the coming of Christ to take us home. Thank you to our Chaplaincy Team who set up out advent space in our school foyer.
Congratulations to our first-year student Amelie Hetherington who won the confined championship for Under-13s at feile Rince Corpus Christi last weekend.
We are delighted to have held a themed week in the library this week on Inspiring Women from Irish History. The TY library committee created posters on Irish women who inspire them. They made posters featuring Vicky Phelan, Rosie Hackett, Grace O’Malley, Mary Robinson, Constance Markievicz and Dr. Kathleen Lynn. There was also display boards featuring activities and biographies from inspiring Irish women. Well done to students in 3Y who completed a Kahoot quiz on inspiring women during the week.
Congratulations to our first-year students Gemma McAteer, Lily O Gara, Sadie Grant and Isabella Högger for their recent nominations to Leinster Under-14s Hockey Development. If successful, they may be selected for a Regional or National Hockey festival in the new year. Best of luck!
Sixth years created clay heads for the first time this term and produced some amazing results. Well done everyone involved! You can see photos of their artwork on our Twitter feed.
We had a celebration for TY students on Tuesday to celebrate their fantastic Junior Cert Results. TY students also had a very engaging CSI Workshop on Wednesday.
Sixth year geography students are away on a trip today Ms. Rooney. We hope you have an excellent field trip.
That is it for this week! We hope you enjoy your weekends. And remember, in Cluny, we celebrate the days to come.
