Chaplaincy Team

As week two of the Advent journey commences, we light the Peace candle on our Advent Wreath to remind us of how Advent is a time to be share and spread peace wherever we go and with whomever we meet.
Welcome back to another edition of Good News Friday covering stories from the last two weeks here at Cluny.
We are delighted to have been included in the latest edition of the Le Chéile Connects newsletter.
This week we started to celebrate our end of year assemblies. These assemblies are about gratitude for our school community and an opportunity to give thanks to one another for a fantastic year at Cluny.
Well done to all of our TY students who completed their work experience this week. We are looking forward to hearing about your placements on your return next week.
On behalf of the Ember Team and The Cluny Chaplaincy Team, we wish all sixth and third years the best of luck in their mock exams.
On Tuesday, the 17th of January, our Ember Team took part in Renewal Day.
Today we invited Sister Maeve, former St Joseph of Cluny Principal to give the first whole school assembly to mark the beginning of Catholic Schools Week in Cluny.
On Wednesday the 25th of January, as part of Catholic School's Week, students are invited to ask their Grandparent and or a person of commitment in their lives for a tea and coffee morning in Cluny library.
The Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated on January 6. This feast commemorates the visit of the wise men to worship the baby Jesus. Tradition tells us that their names were Caspar, Melchior and Balthassar.
We are approaching the Christmas break here at Cluny. We hope you all had a wonderful week.
Well done to all our students who completed their Christmas tests this week. We are proud of you all.
Join us for an evening of festive music next Thursday 15th December from 19:30 until 21:00 where over sixty students share their musical talents in our first live Carol Service in three years.
Our Ember Team are now accepting donations of non-perishable foods in the oratory for the VDP Hamper Collection.
Christmas tests began this week in Cluny and we welcomed in the start of the festive period. We hope you are excited for today’s edition of Good News Friday.
Advent is a reminder that our life on earth is a preparation for the life of eternity in heaven; and that we wait for the coming of Christ to take us home.
