Well done to all of our students who completed their summer tests today. We are proud of each of you! We hope you all enjoy the summer break.

We would like to wish Ms. Jacinta Joy the very best as she retires this week from Cluny. Jacinta began teaching in Cluny in 1985 and has been a stalwart of the school, a year head and taught French and German. Congratulations Jacinta on your retirement.
We are delighted to share that Alice Walker and Alana Hurley will be our Deputy Head Girl and Head Girl for the 2023-2024 school term.
Congratulations to our student Lily in second year who as part of the MGL South U-15 Girls team recently won the All Ireland Inter League Final against Longford 2-0. Lily scored one of the goals. Well done Lily!
We recently celebrated our sports end of year assembly here in Cluny. This assembly was a chance to reflect on the year’s sporting activities, highlight the achievements of our students and also announce the winner’s of the House Cup and Shield. Congratulations to all who were nominated for awards and a massive thank you to all of our students who took part in sporting activities over the year. Congratulations to Róisín O’Connor who won the senior sports person of the year award and to Mia McEntee who won the junior sports person of the year award. TYs celebrated their end of term assembly on Tuesday. Congratulations to Gwen who won the TY achievement folder award and to runner-up Firinne. We hope you all enjoyed this special event! After finishing Junk Kouture, students started a new textiles module which will continue next year. This year we based it on the locality and took photos of seascapes by Sandycove. Students then drew a design and made a textile panel based on their drawings.
The Ukrainian art club is taking a break over the summer months but they left this lovely thank you to us as part of Saturday's art class. This thank you message can be seen on our social media accounts.
Home Economics CBA1 required students to upcycle a household item to demonstrate the value of sustainability of textiles. Each student tie-dyed and embellished a plain cloth tote bag to create thus lovely selection of unique and creative designs.

First year students finished Picasso inspired themed self-portraits this week in art class. We are very impressed with their creativity!
