Uniform

The uniform in St Joseph of Cluny Killiney has a proud tradition going back to the foundation of the school in 1956. Of course aspects of the uniform have changed over the years but the distinctive mid-blue colour is an enduring feature and distinctive traditional link with the beginnings of the Senior and Junior schools in Killiney. The Killiney uniform also creates an important global connection with the many Cluny schools worldwide. From the primary and secondary schools of Africa, India and the new world, the ‘Cluny blue’ uniform is a distinguishing feature of the Cluny Orders educational mission.

Students who attend St Joseph of Cluny Killiney are expected to wear their uniform with pride and with due respect for the uniform rules. In recent years students have formed important members of uniform committees and have made important contributions in the selection of uniform items. The Killiney uniform is supplied solely by Arnotts Department Store in Henry Street, Dublin.   Arnotts arrange a fitting day in the Secondary School when parents can buy items of uniform on the school premises for one day only. Items of uniform are carried by Arnotts throughout the year.
